WINDOWS TO THE WORLD

Windows to the World returns to Canberra  on Saturday 18  and Sunday 19 October 2025.

Windows to the World offers a unique opportunity to step inside some of the city’s embassies and high commissions and explore international architecture, gardens, culture, and traditions without leaving the capital.

This biennial event opens the gates to a number of diplomatic embassies across Canberra, allowing the public to enjoy guided tours, cultural performances, traditional food and drink, and interactive displays from across the globe. It’s a chance to learn more about international diplomacy and experience the rich multicultural landscape that contributes to Canberra’s global identity.

As a lead-in to the main event, Windows to the World at Floriade will be held on Saturday 11 October in Commonwealth Park. A selection of embassies will host pop-up displays as part of Floriade’s final weekend, giving visitors a preview of what’s to come.

Windows to the World is a celebration of cultural diversity, international connections and the role Canberra plays on the world stage. Whether you’re curious about global traditions or interested in the stories behind the embassies, this event offers something for all ages and interests.

Keep an eye on this space for future updates on Windows to the World! Full progamming will be announced soon.
