Discover the world right here in Canberra with Windows to the World! This unique event invites you to step inside some of the capital’s most fascinating diplomatic missions. To make your experience seamless, we’re providing a free shuttle bus service to connect participating venues. Whether you’re planning to visit one location or several, this page has everything you need to know about travelling between embassies, parking, the shuttle bus, and other transport options.
A free shuttle bus will operate between participating venues:
Operating hours: 9:30am to 4:30pm
Frequency: Every 20 minutes on Saturday routes; every 15 minutes on Sunday route
Days & Routes:
Saturday 18 October – Yarralumla Route 1 and Yarralumla/Deakin Route 2
Sunday 19 October – O’Malley Loop

Please note: The Embassy of The Republic of Peru and Embassy of the Republic of Guatemala are located in Barton, outside of the free shuttle bus loop. Parking in Barton is avaiable, and can be found on the National Captial Authority Website here. For public transport routes to and from Barton, you can plan your journey here.

Parking near venues is limited. We recommend parking close to a shuttle bus stop indicated on the shuttle bus map (coming soon).
Weekend parking is free in National Capital Authority carparks.

Deakin: King Street, Woden Special School, Alfred Deakin Carpark
O’Malley: Pindari Cres Carpark
Cycling and walking are encouraged where safe and practical. Please note:
Venues are spread out – shuttle buses are the most efficient way to travel between multiple locations.
Bicycles can be left at each venue but no designated bike parking or locks are provided.
